Installing Modpacks
CopperLauncher can install modpacks directly from within the launcher, or you can import a .mrpack file manually.
Method 1 — In-Launcher Modpack Downloader
CopperLauncher has a built-in modpack browser. You can search Modrinth modpacks and install them with one tap.
- From the launcher home screen, tap New Instance or the + button.
- Select Download Modpack from the options.
- Browse or search for a modpack in the Modrinth browser.
- Tap a modpack and select your desired version, then tap Install.
- CopperLauncher will download the modpack and all its mods automatically.
This is the easiest way to install modpacks — no manual file management needed.
Method 2 — Import a .mrpack File
If you already have a .mrpack file downloaded (from Modrinth or another source), you can import it directly:
- Download the
.mrpackfile to your device. - In CopperLauncher, tap New Instance → Import Modpack.
- Browse to and select the
.mrpackfile. - CopperLauncher will extract and install all included mods automatically.
Method 3 — CurseForge Modpacks
- Download a CurseForge modpack ZIP from the CurseForge website.
- In CopperLauncher, tap New Instance → Import Modpack.
- Select the CurseForge
.zipfile.
Some CurseForge modpacks require downloading mods manually due to distribution restrictions. CopperLauncher will notify you if any mods need manual download.
